You know God wants it to be easier to drink on Sundays
It’s supposed to be a day of rest, isn’t it?
Which is why this is such good news: Minnesota among states looking at liquor sales changes to boost tax revenue.
This sentence in the Minnpost article makes it sound like you can’t buy liquor on election day: “Other states — including Utah (but not us) — are considering allowing the sale of liquor on Election Day…” Of course, that’s not the case. But speaking of bizarre liquor laws, this kind of makes me want to move to South Carolina:
South Carolina: All malt beverages containing not more than 5% alcohol by weight and all wines containing not more than 21% alcohol by volume “are declared to be nonalcoholic and nonintoxicating.” (S.C. Admin. Code § 61-4-10.) (http://www.prohibitionrepeal.com/legacy/hall.asp)
“No officer, I can’t be drunk! I had 36 beers, but they were all nonalcoholic!”
